About Element 7!

What the hell even is this, anyways??

Hello everyone! It is me, Ion Munteanu, the author behind Element 7. I am AMAB but I use he/they/any pronouns. I am very excited to be able to share this work with you. It means a lot to me because I started it just this year (2024 fall) when I started learning chemistry in high school. Nitrogne, the main character, is based on me!

The periodic table is very fascinating because the whole thing feels ripe for ways to bully people. The alkalis exploding in peoples' faces, the alkaline earth metals shooting off fireworks and sparklers, the transition metals hitting people over the head with their metallic tools and stuff...

...And who should be the victim in all of this, but poor little nitrogen?! Just an unassuming guy in group 15.

Yes, this is a story about Nikolai Asimov, AKA Nitrogen who is having a hard time adjusting at his new school, Periodic Preparatory. But is it really a school? And why is everyone bullying him ? Thesea re very important questions htat get answered...eventually.

(At Periodic Preparatory, there are 10 years up to 17, starting in year 7 which is for about age 12-13. This is based on character age, not the periodic table)

I might update this page more and turn it into kind of a wiki for different locations, settings, and ideas in Element 7. Stay tune and see!
